Job summary

Planet designs, builds, and operates the largest constellation of imaging satellites in history. We are seeking a Data Analyst to join our Data Team and build data products, dashboards, and self-service tooling for Planet's users.

The role is full-time and hybrid, with 3 days per week in our San Francisco or Arlington offices, requiring collaboration across data, product, and business teams.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of relevant experience.
• Bachelor's degree, technical certification, or equivalent.
• Expertise in SQL and python for data cleaning, aggregation and analytics.
• Experience with git or other version control.
• Familiarity with enterprise cloud platforms.
• Reliability and accuracy in analytics work.
• Experience working in a dynamic environment serving multiple stakeholder groups with different needs and technical ability.
• Familiarity with geospatial data use cases.
• Experience with the modern data stack: Fivetran, dbt, Looker/Omni/Sigma, or similar.
• Experience enabling go to market teams with customer and financial data.
• Familiarity with enterprise cloud platforms (GCP preferred).

Responsibilities

• Join the Data Team to build data products and dashboards for Planet's users.
• Work on data pipelines and tooling to support satellite data workflows and business decisions.
• Collaborate with multiple stakeholder groups to deliver reliable analytics.
