Job summary

City of Hamilton seeks a Manager, Geomatics & Corridor Management to lead survey, mapping, and corridor programs. You will oversee technical staff, ensure delivery to city/provincial standards, and manage budgets with a focus on cost-effective, high-quality services.

You will mentor a multi-disciplinary team, coordinate with officials and utilities, and advance best practices in geomatics and corridor management while upholding integrity and service excellence.

Qualifications

• University degree in Geomatics, GIS, Engineering preferred; technologist diploma acceptable with relevant experience.
• PMP designation or eligibility is a strong asset.
• Experience in right-of-way corridor management, utility coordination, road cut restoration contracts, and encroachment governance.
• Proven ability to manage large multi-disciplinary staff in a unionized environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership to subordinate staff and direct survey, mapping, and corridor management services.
• Ensure program delivery in accordance with city and provincial standards while managing budget and staff.
• Mentor staff, set standards, and drive customer-focused service delivery.
• Coordinate with elected officials, utilities, legal counsel, and the public to ensure compliance and effective results.
