Job summary

Paramount Resources Ltd. in Calgary, Alberta is seeking a Geology Summer Student for a May 2027 start. The four-month term is in-person at our downtown Calgary office, with relocation if needed.

You will support the development team on exploration and development projects, working closely with a senior geologist mentor to learn through hands-on assignments and project delivery. Applicants must be in their 3rd/4th year or pursuing graduate studies in Geology and be eligible to work in Canada.

Qualifications

• 3rd/4th year geology student or graduate student required.
• Able to work well in a team and take feedback.
• Familiarity with geology software is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Support exploration and development projects under a senior geologist mentor.
• Generate geologic log cross sections and correlate formations zones.
• Prepare geological maps including structure and reservoir mapping.
• Integrate geological results with geophysical and engineering data.
• Generate potential drilling prospects and present findings to management.
