Zusammenfassung

CST Canada Coal Limited is seeking an entry-level Geological Engineer in training to support surface mine engineering activities including design, planning and scheduling at our Grande Cache operation. The role emphasizes mentorship, field sampling, and collaboration with geology, survey and mine operations.

The successful candidate will contribute to weekly mine planning, maintain coal quality data, and assist with exploration and model updates under supervision. A geology degree is required.

Qualifikationen

• Geology or Geological Sciences degree from a recognized post-secondary institution or Geological Technician diploma.
• Entry level position with potential field experience from summer/Coop placements.

Aufgaben

• Assist in creating weekly mine plans through collaboration with geology, survey and mine operations.
• Support field coal quality control including sampling and surveying coal seams and lithological contacts.
• Maintain coal quality databases and update drill hole/blast hole information.
• Provide assistance to surveyors and help with exploration programs as directed.
• Assist with the construction and update of coal and waste models; set up sampling and trenching programs.
