Overview

Job Title: Senior GIS Systems Analyst & Developer

Location: Peterborough, ON

Duration: Contract

We’re looking for a Senior GIS Systems Analyst & Developer to lead the modernization and maintenance of an enterprise GIS platform across three key initiatives:

• Platform Modernization (18%): Implement monitoring, analytics, and reporting middleware.
• Data Maintenance Upgrade (10%): Replace legacy editing tools with a new, compliant GIS solution.
• Planned Maintenance (72%): Execute biannual upgrades for ArcGIS Server, FME, Oracle, and related infrastructure.

Must-Haves

• Expertise with Esri ArcGIS Enterprise (Server, Portal, Image Server, ArcPro SDK, Notebooks).
• Experience with Microsoft Azure and GIS infrastructure modernization.
• Proficiency in Python, SQL, .NET, C#, C++, VBA, and relevant SDKs.

Nice-to-Haves

• Cloud deployment (Azure), REST/JSON APIs, SOA/microservices.
• Web GIS development (JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML5, CSS, VertiGIS/Geocortex, FME).
• Public sector or government IT experience.
