Position Summary

As an HR Generalist, you will play a key strategic role in supporting the HR Manager with planning and executing human resources initiatives. You will address labour challenges, drive employee development, enhance workplace culture, support organizational change, lead health and safety efforts, support training and succession planning, manage internal HR communications, and contribute to recruitment.

Your main responsibilities will include:

  • Creating and maintaining relationships that foster growth and trust with managers across your assigned groups.
  • Acting as a strategic partner to develop and implement actions to address operational challenges in areas such as:

- Learning and Development

- Change Management

- Employee Experience

- Employee Wellness

- Performance Management

- Corporate Culture

  • Providing specialized advice to managers at all levels.
  • Identifying training needs and participating in developing and executing training programs and succession plans.
  • Ensuring effective HR communication across divisions.
  • Leading and executing various group committees (OQLF & Health & Safety).
  • Supporting the HR Manager in strategic HR planning across divisions.
  • Assisting the Employer Branding and Recruitment Specialist with recruitment when needed.
  • Planning and managing HR projects from inception to execution in collaboration with the HR team.
  • Serving as a resource for employee inquiries.
  • Performing other related duties within your expertise.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Bilingual in French and English (spoken & written).
  • Ability to interpret applicable laws, guidelines, and policies.
  • Experience with Ontario and British Columbia Employment Standards is an asset.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Influence and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Effective time management and ability to meet deadlines.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Industrial Relations, or related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant HR experience.
  • Membership in the CHRP order is an asset.
  • Experience with HRIS systems (e.g., BambooHR, ADP) is an asset.
  • Experience working with managers and senior management in a consulting capacity.
  • Experience in project management.
