Job summary

SPS West in Calgary is seeking a dependable general labour and production-support worker to join our manufacturing team. This is hands-on work including preparing and finishing parts, moving materials, assisting with assembly, packaging products and keeping the shop organized. No welding apprenticeship is required.

Prior welding experience is not necessary, and welding apprenticeship is not available for this role. Experience in manufacturing or material handling is helpful, but not required.

SPS West is looking for a dependable, hands-on person to support our Calgary manufacturing team.

This is practical shop work: preparing and finishing parts, moving materials, helping with assembly, packaging products and keeping the shop organized. We’re looking for someone who shows up reliably, follows instructions and takes pride in doing a job properly.

This is a general labour and production-support position. Welding experience is not required, and a welding apprenticeship is not available as part of this role.

What you’ll do

Previous experience in manufacturing, material handling, assembly, grinding or metal finishing would be helpful, but previous shop experience is not required. Forklift experience and basic drawing-reading skills are assets.
