Highline Mushrooms in Langley, BC, is hiring for a permanent, full-time production worker on the mushroom line. You will weigh, sort, wrap, and pack mushrooms, rotate through line positions, and operate electric or hand pallet jacks to move product and packing materials.

Ideal candidates are at least 16, eligible to work in Canada, with preferred experience using pallet jacks. The role includes evening shifts, overtime, and a modest benefits package.

• Experience with an electric pallet jack or hand jack is preferred.

General Duties:

• Weighs, sorts, wraps, and packs mushrooms
• Rotates through various positions on the line (Scaler, Catcher, Stacker, Runner, Line Feeding etc.)
• Load, stack, prep and clean the line as required.
• Complete the pre-trip inspection of the assigned equipment and recharge the electric equipment at the shift end.
• Operate Electric Pallet Jack and Hand Pallet Jack to bring mushrooms to all the lines.
• Organize the mushroom cooler at the end of the shift.
• Move the finished product from the lines to the cooler by using Hand pallet jacks and Electric Pallet jacks.
• Operate Electric pallet jack and Hand pallet jack to bring packing material (Boxes, Tills, Tapes, Pallets, Films, Labels etc.) from the packing storage area and move the packing supplies from packing room to their designated area.
• Feed the packing line and stack pallets as required.
• Set standard for level 1 GPA.
• Verify’ s quality assurance paperwork.
• Verify’ s BOL and other documents as required.
• Ensure all the pallet tags and crop passports are attached to the product for traceability purpose.
• Perform SAP scanning of the mushrooms (Finished and semi-finished good) to process the order.
• Provides support to Line Operators.
• Provides support and assists Lead Hand as required.
• Housekeeping as required.
• Performs any other duties that may be assigned.

• Adheres to the Safety Policies, including use of proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and other safety equipment.
• Reports unsafe conditions immediately to the Supervisor.
• Report all incidents, injuries and near misses to the Supervisor. immediately
• Cooperates in the Early and Safe Return to Work Program if an injury or medical illness requires accommodation
• Follows all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP’s) as trained.
• Adheres to all quality standards per customer specifications.

Qualifications:

• Must be at least 16 years of age.
• Must be eligible to work in Canada without restrictions.
• Experience with an electric pallet jack or hand jack is preferred

Hours of Work:

• Any 4 days / week
• 3:00p.m. - 1:30a.m. and/or 4:00a.m. - 2:30p.m.
• Public Holidays / Weekends as scheduled
• Daily shift end times vary based on production needs

Earnings:

• $19.86 Hourly
• $0.50 premium per hour for hours worked after 6:00p.m.
