Job summary

Highline Mushrooms in Leamington, Ontario, is seeking a part-time janitorial associate to maintain clean facilities across the farm, including lunchrooms, restrooms, and production areas.

You will follow GMPs, use PPE and report hazards to supervision. This role is suitable for individuals 16+ with food production cleaning experience and offers a weekly schedule of 18–36 hours at $19.04 per hour.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 16 years of age.
• Must be eligible to work in Canada for any employer, without restrictions.
• Previous experience working as a cleaner in a food production facility.

Responsibilities

• Clean building floors by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, or vacuuming.
• Gather and empty trash.
• Service, clean, and supply restrooms.
• Clean and polish furniture and fixtures.
• Clean windows, glass partitions, and mirrors, using soapy water or other cleaners.
• Mix water and detergents in containers to prepare cleaning solutions, according to specifications.
• Move supplies, either manually or by using hand trucks.
• Maintain cleanliness of lunchrooms throughout the farm, including back buildings and trailers.
• Maintain cleanliness of farm hallways, including garbage removal, removal of spider webs and squeegeeing pooling water.
• Ensure adequate supplies for housekeeping cart are maintained and notifying Quality Assurance Manager when supplies are needed.
• Performs any other duties as required.

• Develop and actively foster an engaged work force, displaying professionalism at all times.
• Adheres to the Safety Policies, including use of PPE and other safety equipment.

• Maintain cleanliness of lunchrooms throughout the entire farm, including the back buildings and trailers.

• Ensure adequate supplies for housekeeping cart are maintained and notifying Quality Assurance Manager when supplies are needed.
