Job summary

Highline Mushrooms is seeking a dedicated full-time cleaner for our Leamington farm to maintain clean facilities, floors, restrooms, and common areas in a food production setting.

You will follow GMPs, wear PPE, report safety hazards, and support a culture of quality and respect while keeping lunchrooms and hallways spotless throughout the site.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 16 years of age.
• Must be eligible to work in Canada for any employer, without restrictions.
• Previous experience working as a cleaner in a food production facility.

Responsibilities

• Clean building floors by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, or vacuuming.
• Gather and empty trash.
• Service, clean, and supply restrooms.
• Clean and polish furniture and fixtures.
• Clean windows, glass partitions, and mirrors, using soapy water or other cleaners, sponges, and squeegees.
• Move supplies, either manually or by using hand trucks.
• Maintain cleanliness of lunchrooms and farm areas.
• Follow GMPs and quality standards per customer specifications.
• Report safety hazards and incidents to supervisor.
• Embrace and support the Highline culture and values, acting as brand ambassador.
• Interact with others in a manner that promotes respect, confidentiality and dignity.
• Develop and actively foster an engaged workforce, displaying professionalism.
• Adheres to Safety Policies including PPE and other safety equipment.
• Reports unsafe conditions immediately to the supervisor.
• Reports all incidents, injuries and near misses to the supervisor immediately.
• Cooperates in the Early and Safe Return to Work Program if needed.
• Follows all GMPs as trained.
• Adheres to all quality standards per customer specifications.

Position Summary:

Responsible for cleaning areas across the entire farm and reporting any safety hazards to their supervisor.

General Duties:

• Clean building floors by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, or vacuuming.
• Gather and empty trash.
• Service, clean, and supply restrooms.
• Clean and polish furniture and fixtures.
• Clean windows, glass partitions, and mirrors, using soapy water or other cleaners, sponges, and squee-gees.
• Mix water and detergents in containers to prepare cleaning solutions, according to specifications.
• Move supplies, either manually or by using hand trucks.
• Clear debris from grounds.
• Maintain cleanliness of lunchrooms throughout the entire farm, including the back buildings and trailers.
• Maintain cleanliness of farm hallways, including garbage removal, removal of spider webs and squeegee any pooling water found.
• Ensure adequate supplies for housekeeping cart are maintained and notifying Quality Assurance Manager when supplies are needed.
• Performs any other duties that may be assigned as required.

• Follows all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP’s) as trained.
• Adheres to all quality standards per customer specifications.

Hours of Work:

• Shift: 7:00 am - 4:00 pm
• 5 days a week
• Approximately 40 to 44 hours
• Public Holidays / Weekends as scheduled
• Daily shift end times vary based on production needs

Earnings:

• $19.04 Hourly
