Responsibilities

• Perform general duties to support mining operations including cleanup of material spills and housekeeping.
• Train to safely support other mine team members, including mechanics and operators.
• Safely operate small equipment and mine vehicles (haul trucks, wheel loaders, scoop trams).
• Follow all standard procedures including vehicle inspections, fueling, greasing, and traffic controls.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Perform general duties in support of mining operations including clean up of material spills and housekeeping in all areas of the mine to company standards.
• Train to safely support other mine team members, including mechanics, crusher operators, rail loaders and mine equipment operators in all areas of the mine.
• Safely operate small equipment, rigid frame haul trucks, articulated haul trucks, wheel loaders, and underground scoop trams.
• Safely follow all standard procedures including vehicle equipment inspections, reporting of deficiencies, fueling, greasing of equipment, vehicle segregation and traffic controls.

What Are We Looking For

• Underground mining experience is an asset.
• Heavy Equipment or Haul Truck experience in a mine site (certification is an asset, but not required – we certify onsite)
• Mechanical aptitude and equipment awareness is an asset.
• The successful candidate will have a proven safety record as well as a history of being a team player and communicating effectively.

Conditions of Employment

• Successful candidate must submit to post-offer pre-employment physical examination and background check.

Work Environment

• Role operates primarily in environments where the conditions include moving mechanical equipment, lifting heavy loads,inclement weather, and elevated noise level.
• Some operations moving into underground mining (50-year plan)
