Job summary

Walmart Canada is seeking a General Merchandise Associate to deliver excellent customer service in a fast-paced retail environment. You will help customers with product selection, promote services, stock and organize the sales floor, and support merchandising across the general merchandise area.

This role requires flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays. You will handle stocking, zoning, recovery, and safety, keep displays secure, and ensure a clean, customer-ready store.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Delivers an Excellent Customer Experience: greeting customers, assisting with product selection, promoting products and services, helping locate merchandise, supporting purchase decisions, and resolving or referring customer concerns as needed.
• Sales Floor Coverage and Team Support: covers assigned areas and assists with Front End coverage as required, coordinating with colleagues to maintain floor coverage.
• Merchandising, Zoning and Recovery: zones areas to keep the floor organized, moves feature merchandise to modular locations, and processes recovery merchandise from the Customer Service desk and other areas.
• Stocking and Modular Execution: stocks merchandise, completes downstocking, applies product protection, and sets up modulars including flex modulars and new shelf caps.
• Safety, Cleanliness and Compliance: maintains a safe, clean, hazard-free work environment per policies and procedures, completes safety logs, and ensures displays and fixtures are secure.
