Job summary

Hotel Equities seeks a General Manager for the Courtyard by Marriott in Nanaimo, BC, to lead hotel operations, guest and staff satisfaction, and financial performance. You will drive brand initiatives, oversee the leadership team, and ensure strong revenue growth in a competitive Vancouver Island market.

Candidates should have 2+ years in a similar service-level role with demonstrated Marriott-brand experience, strong budgeting capability, and proficiency with M3, ADP, and One Yield.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of hotel leadership in a similar service-level property.
• Impeccable results in a Marriott, Hyatt, IHG, Hilton, or similar brand.
• Strong financial acumen including P&L review, budget creation and cost controls.
• Working knowledge of M3, ADP, and One Yield.
• Well organized, results-driven and able to lead a team.

Responsibilities

• Lead the property's operations with focus on guest and employee satisfaction.
• Ensure execution of the brand service strategy and initiatives to boost profit and market share.
• Hold the leadership team accountable for strategy execution and development.
• Oversee sales engines and revenue generation while managing costs.
• Engage with local community, officials, and customers to build relationships.
