Job summary

SecondShop Inc. is seeking an experienced General Manager to bring structure and leadership to our busy transport and warehousing terminal in Delta, British Columbia. You will establish clear operating processes, manage KPIs across transport and warehouse functions, mentor supervisors and frontline teams, and drive safe, compliant day-to-day execution.

Success means consistent, KPI-driven performance with tighter cost control and reliable service for customers and internal stakeholders.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of leadership in transport, logistics, or supply chain operations.
• Strong knowledge of transportation compliance, safety standards, and governance.
• Experience building structure, process discipline, and accountability where procedures were lacking.
• Proven ability to manage KPIs and lead high-volume, fast-paced operations.
• Exceptional leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong computer skills, reporting tools, and ability to learn transport/warehouse systems.
• Experience managing multidisciplinary teams; multi-site experience is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily transport and warehouse operations to ensure efficiency, service reliability, and cost control.
• Establish, track, and report on KPIs across transport and warehouse operations.
• Drive performance improvement by identifying gaps and holding teams accountable.
• Implement SOPs, job descriptions, and accountability structures for consistency.
• Lead and develop supervisors and frontline leaders with hands-on mentorship.
• Ensure full compliance with NSC, Hours of Service, OH&S, WHMIS, and regulations.
• Manage budgets, resource allocation, maintenance planning, and cost controls.
• Build strong relationships with customers, vendors, and internal stakeholders.
