Job summary

Canada Cartage is seeking a General Manager to lead a 250,000 sq ft multi-customer distribution and fulfillment centre in Mississauga. You will direct warehouse operations, customer service, and financial performance while driving safety, quality and continuous improvement.

The role requires hands-on leadership, strategic planning, and the ability to balance retail, wholesale and e-commerce fulfillment for diverse industries.

Qualifications

• Progressive leadership experience in warehousing, distribution, logistics or 3PL.
• Experience leading large-scale distribution centre or warehouse operations.
• Experience managing leaders, supervisors and frontline teams.
• Strong financial acumen with budgets, labour costs and productivity.
• Experience delivering service excellence with customers in fast-paced environments.
• Industry exposure to NHP, cosmetics, lifestyle or fashion is a plus.
• Experience supporting retail distribution, omni-channel and e-commerce fulfillment is a plus.
• Post-secondary education in the field is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide overall leadership for all distribution centre operations and SOPs.
• Set priorities aligned with SLAs, KPIs and service expectations.
• Maintain visible leadership on the floor and manage volumes, staffing and capacity.
• Build and develop Operations Managers, Supervisors and frontline staff.
• Lead safety, quality and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Maintain strong customer relationships and oversee business reviews.
