Job summary

JRoss Hospitality Recruiters in Toronto seeks an accomplished General Manager to lead a full-service hotel. You will drive revenue, oversee operations, and foster guest experiences through hands-on leadership and an entrepreneurial mindset.

You’ll manage P&L, budgets, and strategic initiatives with a strong emphasis on team development and operational excellence, reporting to the CEO and collaborating with senior leadership.

Qualifications

• Progressive hotel leadership experience in full-service, boutique, lifestyle, luxury or independent hotels.
• Strong foundation in rooms operations, front office, housekeeping and revenue management.
• Demonstrated financial acumen, including P&L, budgeting, forecasting and cost controls.
• Experience identifying commercial opportunities and driving revenue growth.
• Experience leading multidisciplinary teams and developing department leaders.
• Entrepreneurial and hands-on leadership style.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic and operational leadership across hotel departments.
• Own financial performance including P&L, budgeting, forecasting and profitability.
• Develop and execute revenue growth strategies across rooms, F&B and other areas.
• Identify opportunities to strengthen rooms revenue and optimize distribution channels.
• Lead, coach and develop department leaders and teams.
• Maintain exceptional guest service standards and personalized experiences.
• Collaborate with sales, marketing, finance and HR to achieve objectives.
• Analyze performance to identify efficiencies, cost controls and revenue optimization.
• Oversee maintenance, capital improvements and ongoing operations.
• Foster positive employee relations and drive a culture of accountability.
