Job summary

Barricades and Signs Ltd in Regina is seeking a General Labourer to support the installation of guard rail, cable barrier, and other safety systems on infrastructure projects. You will work closely with site Superintendents and Foreman to help ensure project completion and safety.

The role requires previous labour experience in construction, a valid driver's license, and the ability to work outdoors in all weather; evening and weekend availability may be needed to meet project timelines.

Qualifications

• Previous labour experience in a construction environment.
• Valid driver's license and clean drivers abstract.
• Ability to work evening and weekends when required.
• Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Complete pre and post trip inspections on vehicles and trailers.
• Secure cargo and heavy equipment to flat deck and double drop deck trucks.
• Safely drive and operate vehicles out to infrastructure job sites throughout the city.
• Operate various hand and power tools; including drills, skid steers, etc.
• Assist operators in loading and unloading construction materials from trucks both manually and utilizing the use of equipment.
• Execute daily work under the direction of the site superintendent.
• Participate in daily safety meetings and fill out hazard assessments.
• Maintain a clean work site by handling materials and storing them properly.
• Report incidents immediately to health and safety or site supervisor.
