Job summary

Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Assist concrete finishers with preparation, pouring, and finishing concrete.
  • Set up forms, spread base, cut and tie rebar as needed.
  • Transport materials, tools and equipment to job sites.
  • Maintain safe and clean work areas and follow PPE guidelines.
  • Operate basic hand tools and power equipment.
  • Follow supervision instructions and safety rules on site.
  • Support crew with general labour tasks as required.
  • Demonstrate leadership and mentorship when appropriate.

AM & Sons Construction is a leading concrete finishing company based in Regina, Saskatchewan. We specialize in high-quality concrete work, including residential and commercial projects. Our team takes pride in delivering top-notch craftsmanship and excellent customer service.

We are currently seeking hardworking, reliable, motivated, and EXPERIENCED Labourers to join our concrete set up and pouring crews for our busy season. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, be comfortable working outdoors, and eager to learn new skills in a supportive team environment.

Typical Duties
  • Assisting concrete finishers with preparation, pouring, and finishing concrete
  • Assisting in the set up of forms, spreading base, cutting and tying rebar, etc.
  • Handling and transporting materials (e.g., concrete, tools, equipment)
  • Setting up and cleaning job sites to maintain safety and efficiency
  • Operating basic hand tools and power equipment
  • Following safety guidelines and wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE)
  • Performing general labour tasks as required by supervisors
  • Position may lead to other responsibilities; leadership qualities (including team mindset, strong sense of accountability, and mentorship skills) would be a great asset.
Qualifications & Skills
  • Previous construction or concrete labour experience is necessary (at least 5 years)
  • Physical Requirements: Ability to lift heavy materials, kneel, bend, and work in various weather conditions
  • Safety Certification: Valid SCOT/WHMIS
  • License: Valid drivers licence and reliable transportation
  • Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and teamwork skills
