Job summary

Simpson Scrap Metal & Recycling in Southern New Brunswick is hiring a general laborer to join our demolition and recycling team. You will load, unload, move and sort materials, assist production staff, and help maintain a safe, organized work site.

We offer health, dental and vision benefits, RRSP match, a company bonus and EAP, with full-time, permanent hours Monday to Friday and occasional Saturdays. This role requires physical stamina and reliability.

Qualifications

• Experience around heavy equipment is an asset.
• Previous experience of heavy lifting general labor an asset.
• Must be able to lift 50lbs consistently.
• Full PPE (CSA Steel toes, Gloves, Glasses, Safety Vest, Hard Hat).
• Safety driven mindset with attention to procedures.
• Clear communication skills with teamwork.
• Comfortable working in all weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Load, unload, and move products and materials by hand or with basic equipment
• Sort and prepare products for shipping or storage
• Assist machine operators and other production staff as needed.
• Accurately label and tag products
• Maintain a clean and tidy work area
• Uppkeeping safety procedures
• Ensure deficiencies are noted and reported to management
• Other labor duties as necessary

Primary Responsibilities and Duties:

• Load, unload, and move products and materials by hand or with basic equipment
• Sort and prepare products for shipping or storage
• Assist machine operators and other production staff as needed.
• Accurately label and tag products
• Maintain a clean and tidy work area
• Upkeeping safety procedures
• Ensure deficiencies are noted and reported to management
• Other labor duties as necessary

Hours of Work: Monday to Friday, 7:30 AM - 5:00 PM and every other Saturday from 8am - 12pm

Payrate: $18.00/hr
