Simpson Scrap Metal & Recycling in Saint John, NB, is seeking a commercial driver to transport scrap across the Maritimes and ensure cargo safety. The role requires organizing loads, paperwork, and maintaining vehicle cleanliness, with a Monday–Friday schedule and Saturdays as needed.

• 2+ years driving experience in Canada.
• Must hold a valid Class 3 license.
• Clean Driver's Abstract.
• Excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Help to transport scrap products across the Maritimes.
• Ensure safety and security of cargo during transit.
• Haul various scrap products and organize loads.
• Safely operate and maneuver the vehicle.
• Gather paperwork for deliveries and maintain records.
• Maintain cleanliness of the vehicle and report defects.
• Notify management of any deficiencies found.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Help to transport scrap products across the maritimes
• Ensuring safety and security of cargo
• Hauling various scrap products
• Organize and load product
• Safely navigate the vehicle
• Gather appropriate paperwork for deliveries
• Maintain cleanliness of vehicle
• Ensure deficiencies are noted and reported to proper manager

Qualifications:

• Must have 2+ years experience driving in Canada
• Must hold valid Class 3 License
• Clean Drivers Abstract
• Good communication skills
• Safety Minded

Hours of Work: *Monday to Friday, 7am to 5pm; Saturdays as needed, 7am-12pm.
