Job summary

Safety-Kleen in Brampton ON is seeking a General Laborer / Operator to join our safety-conscious team. You will perform container turnaround/cleaning on site, act as flagman for landfill dumps, assist with painting and housekeeping, and handle various labor duties around the site.

The position offers full-time hours, health benefits after 30 days, RRSP matching, and opportunities for growth. Valid G license, forklift experience, and strong reliability are required.

Responsibilities

• Operates oil filter crusher machine.
• Prepares bulk wastes for shipment to Safety-Kleen, Clean Harbors and/or 3rd party locations.
• Completes and submits paperwork for waste tracking movements.
• Operates a forklift and performs daily safety checks prior to operation.
• Performs daily/weekly facility inspections.
• Ensures compliance with Health and Safety SOPs.
• Maintains organized inventory and cleaning of warehouse areas.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the performance of tasks associated with container turnaround/cleaning on site, flagman for landfill dumps, painting, housekeeping and all other labor duties around the site.

• Ensures Health and Safety is the number one priority by complying with all safe work practices, policies, and processes and acting in a safe manner at all times;
• Operates oil filter crusher machine;
• Prepares bulk wastes for shipment to other Safety-Kleen, Clean Harbors and/or 3rd party locations;
• Completes and submits all associated paperwork as required for waste tracking movements;
• Operates a forklift when necessary, responsible for performing and documenting daily safety check prior to operating;
• Completes daily/weekly facility inspections as required;
• Ensures that work meets all applicable Health and Safety Standard Operating Procedures;
• Ensures, understands, and has ownership for area specific permit required compliance standards;
• Inventory and ensure warehouse, loading and unloading areas are cleaned and organized at all times.
