Job summary

Safety-Kleen in Chambly, QC, is hiring a Laborer/Facility Technician for a permanent, full-time position. The role involves hands-on tasks such as drum crushing, storage yard operations, sampling, barrel pumping, and truck unloading.

Responsibilities include operating a forklift, sampling tanks, preparing waste for shipment to Safety-Kleen, Clean Harbors, or third-party sites, and maintaining accurate waste-tracking documents. Strong safety mindset is essential.

Qualifications

  • Experience working with hazardous materials preferred.
  • Forklift experience considered an asset.
  • Valid Class 5 license with a clean driving record for 5 years.

Responsibilities

  • Operate a forklift to move materials around the site.
  • Sample tanks and barrels for testing and quality checks.
  • Prepare bulk waste for shipment to Safety-Kleen, Clean Harbors, or third-party sites.
  • Fill out and submit documents to track waste movements.
  • Perform warehouse and inventory tasks as needed.
  • Maintain clean and organized loading/unloading areas at all times.

Our facility in Chambly, QC has an immediate opening for a Laborer/Facility Technician (permanent, full-time position). This position performs hands-on operations such as drum crushing, storage yard operations, sampling, barrel pumping, and truck unloading.

Responsibilities
  • Operating a forklift
  • Sampling tanks and barrels
  • Preparing bulk waste for shipment to other Safety-Kleen, Clean Harbors, and/or third-party sites
  • Filling out and submitting all related documents as needed to track waste movements
  • Warehouse and inventory tasks as needed
  • Ensuring that loading and unloading areas are clean and organized at all times.
