Job summary

Alberta Health Services seeks an Associate Physician for Medical Affairs to provide supervised acute care within our hospital network in Calgary. You will work with physicians, nurses, pharmacists, and dieticians to examine patients, document histories, and implement treatment plans under supervision.

Eligible candidates must complete CPSA licensure requirements, have a medical degree from outside Canada/USA, and meet MCCQE1 Part I and language requirements.

Qualifications

• Eligibility to work in Canada and English language proficiency.
• IELTS Academic minimum 7.0 per component, certified by a Notary Public or government authority.
• Medical Degree and Transcripts from a medical school outside Canada/USA listed in FAIMER IMD.
• Postgraduate Medical Education: at least one full year hands-on training outside Canada/USA after undergrad, supervised.

Responsibilities

• Examination of patients and documentation of history.
• Conduct complete physical examination and develop a treatment plan with supervising physician.
• Write orders and enter them into the patient care system, with appropriate supervision.
