Job summary

Dexterra Group in Canada is seeking a General Helper/Food Service Clerk to support food services in educational facilities. Reporting to the Food Services Director, you will perform clerical tasks while delivering excellent customer service, auditing, and attention to detail in a patient-centric environment.

Responsibilities include menu processing, stocking, food prep, order fulfilment, station support, cleaning, temperature checks, and POS operation.

Qualifications

• Experience in food service, preferably in an education setting.
• Evening and weekend availability is required.
• A clear criminal background check is required for this role.
• Food Handler Certification is required.
• Allergen Safety Certification is required.
• 1–2 years minimum in the food service industry.

• Receive and fill any new menu as per request logged
• Stock station requirements
• General station productions, chopping, baking, assembling and packaging goods
• Complete customer order request
• Assist other stations in down time
• General cleaning and sanitization duties, sweeping, mopping
• Temperature check food, beverages and record. Maintain records
• Understanding of POS system

WHAT’S THE JOB?

As a General Helper/Food Service Clerk, reporting to the Food Services Director, you will perform a variety of clerical tasks within the food services function. This position requires excellent customer service skills, auditing skills, attention to detail and is an essential contributor to excellent patient experience.
