Job summary

Aable Construction is seeking a construction laborer to join our on-site team for residential projects across Ottawa. You will work outdoors in a noisy, dusty environment, at various locations, with a focus on safety and teamwork.

Responsibilities include handling materials, erecting formwork, mixing concrete, and assisting with equipment operation. Physical fitness and attention to detail are essential for meeting tight deadlines in this fast-paced setting.

Qualifications

• 1 year to less than 2 years of construction experience.
• On-site work at physical locations; no remote option.
• WHMIS certificate and working at heights training are required.

Responsibilities

• Load, unload and transport construction materials.
• Erect and dismantle concrete forms, scaffolding, ramps, catwalks, shoring and barricades.
• Mix, pour and spread concrete and asphalt.
• Clean and pile salvaged materials.
• Remove rubble and debris at construction sites.
• Tend or feed machines or equipment used in construction.
• Direct traffic at or near construction sites.
