CA$147,250.00/yr - CA$186,000.00/yr

MatchBox Consulting Group is looking for a General Civil Superintendent in Vancouver, BC.

As General Civil Superintendent, you’ll oversee civil operations, manage schedules, support site supervisors, update stakeholders, and address challenges on master-planned community projects. We seek a collaborative leader who mentors teams and drives successful outcomes.

Responsibilities:

• Lead health, safety, and environmental initiatives to ensure compliance with standards and promptly address any project hazards.
• Collaborate with Project Management to develop project work scopes, plans, and budgets.
• Oversee and update construction schedules with the project team to meet milestones and deadlines.
• Review project plans and specifications throughout to maintain quality standards, identify issues, and offer proactive solutions.
• Supervise field staff and subcontractors to ensure efficient work, accurate documentation, and compliance with codes and standards.
• Maintain partnerships on-site with subcontractors and neighboring property owners to ensure smooth project progress.

Requirements:

• 10+ years of civil construction experience in a supervisory role, with a proven track record of successfully managing projects.
• Degree or certification in a civil discipline is an asset.
• Strong organizational and planning skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Proficient in Word, Excel, Outlook, and scheduling software; familiarity with construction documentation and budgeting.
• Ability to work under pressure while maintaining high standards of project quality, schedule, and budget.
• Skilled in promoting teamwork and communicating clearly with project stakeholders to identify needs and solutions.
