Job Description

Our client, a rapidly growing company in the construction industry located in Brampton, has an opening for a General Accounting/Admin Support to join their team. This position reports to the President and is responsible for full-cycle accounting along with providing administrative support to the President of the company. The General Accounting/Admin Support will be responsible for month-end reporting, year-end activities. Additionally, the role will assist in administrative tasks to support the President in day-to-day operations. This position presents an excellent opportunity for individuals seeking professional growth and the chance to work with a company on exciting and upcoming construction projects.

Responsibilities:
  • Manage the month-end process
  • Handle intercompany transactions
  • Assist in preparing the monthly financial package
  • Provide support for mid-year and end-of-year reviews
  • Prepare accurate and timely monthly journal entries
  • Assist with the internal audit process
  • Provide administrative support to the President
  • Assist with special projects and tasks as needed to support the President in business operations
  • Coordinate communication between internal teams and external stakeholders on behalf of the President
Requirements
  • A minimum of two years of full-cycle accounting experience
  • Experience in the construction industry is considered an asset
  • A post-secondary degree in accounting or a related field is required
  • Strong organizational and administrative skills, with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
