Qualifications

• Post-secondary education in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field.
• Previous experience in a General Accountant, AR Accountant, or similar accounting position.
• Strong knowledge of Accounts Receivable and general accounting principles.
• Experience with journal entries, reconciliations, month-end close, and financial reporting.
• Strong Excel and accounting/ERP system skills.
• Manufacturing experience is considered a strong asset.
• Excellent attention to detail, organization, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines independently.

Responsibilities

• Manage full-cycle Accounts Receivable, including customer invoicing, cash application, collections, and account reconciliation.
• Generate and distribute invoices and manage customer billing portals.
• Monitor outstanding receivables and follow up on overdue accounts.
• Assist with customer credit reviews and monitor potential bad debt exposure.
• Record daily cash receipts and reconcile payments against bank deposits.
• Prepare journal entries and account reconciliations for bank, general ledger, and subledger accounts.
• Support month-end and year-end close, including accruals and financial statement preparation.
• Assist with inventory costing, fixed assets, and commission calculations.
• Support variance analysis and financial reporting.
• Maintain accounting procedures, internal controls, and supporting documentation.
• Provide documentation and support for external audits.
• Provide backup support for Accounts Payable and other finance functions as required.
• Participate in process improvements, cross-training, and accounting system implementations.

This is a hands-on accounting role with primary ownership of the full-cycle Accounts Receivable function , while also supporting month-end close, general accounting, reconciliations, and financial reporting.
