The Opportunity

Reporting to the Controller, the Financial Accountant will play an important role in maintaining accurate financial records and supporting the company's reporting and accounting processes. This is a hands-on position within a small team, offering the opportunity to wear multiple hats, work closely with the business, and develop broad accounting expertise.

Key Responsibilities

• Support month-end and year-end close processes, including journal entries, reconciliations, and financial reporting
• Prepare and execute tax filings, including applicable Canadian sales tax requirements
• Perform bank and balance sheet reconciliations
• Support inventory valuation, cost accounting, and related adjustments
• Gain hands-on exposure to manufacturing accounting and production processes
• Prepare and analyze financial information and reporting
• Develop and maintain KPI reporting to support Plant Operations
• Partner with Supply Chain, Production, and other operational teams to provide financial insights and support decision-making
• Support intercompany accounting and foreign currency transactions
• Contribute to process improvements and take on additional responsibilities as your knowledge and experience grow

What We're Looking For

• 1-3 years of accounting experience
• Inventory and cost accounting in a manufacturing setting is required
• Candidates from public accounting with exposure to manufacturing clients and inventory accounting will be considered
• Strong Excel and Power BI skills
• Comfortable working in a hands-on environment and willing to wear multiple hats
• Fully on-site availability is required
