Reports To: Senior Finance Manager

Position Summary

This role is responsible for full-cycle accounting and financial reporting for the company. This role will perform a wide range of accounting related duties to ensure that financial results are reported on time on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Process daily bank payments and prepare weekly cash balances report.
• Responsible for full-cycle Accounts Payable, monthly accruals and payroll booking.
• Prepare journal entries for daily accounting transactions.
• Manage inter‑company transactions and monthly reconciliations.
• Perform balance sheet account reconciliations.
• Prepare monthly HST/GST filing.
• Assist in monthly reporting packages, quarterly forecast and annual budget preparation.
• Assist with internal and external audit queries.
• Perform government remittances and reporting.
• Assist with periodic Survey of Statistics Canada.
• Ensure that all business activities are performed with the highest ethical standards and in compliance with the Canadian Solar Code of Business Conduct.
• Adhere to all health and safety rules and company policies.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or relevant field.
• 2+ years of accounting experience, especially in Treasury and AP roles.
• Experience with foreign currencies is desirable.
• SAP experience is preferred.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, especially advanced Excel skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact with all internal and external stakeholders, including senior management.
• Ability to prioritize and multi‑task with excellent time management skills.
• Able to work efficiently as part of a team as well as independently.
