Job summary

TD Bank Group in Toronto, Canada seeks a Senior Applied Machine Learning Scientist to validate Generative AI and Deep Learning models within the AI/ML Model Validation team. The role focuses on reviewing, testing, and challenging AI/ML models used across TD.

You will conduct R&D in GenAI, stay current with LLMs and evaluation metrics, and help develop validation methodologies aligned with industry standards and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• Strong quantitative skills with an advanced degree in computer science, ML, engineering, statistics, mathematics, or physics.
• Experience as Generative AI Scientist or ML Scientist or similar role.
• Proficient in Python and capable of working independently in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Validate AI/ML models, particularly GenAI and Deep Learning models.
• Conduct R&D in GenAI / Agentic AI / LLM evaluation, testing, explainability.
• Stay up to date with GenAI advancements and performance metrics.
• Develop/implement validation methodologies and standards; ensure regulatory alignment.
• Communicate findings to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
