Job summary

Nature Fresh Farms is seeking a Gatekeeper Lead at our Leamington, ON facility. The role focuses on verifying production orders in Business Central, building reports with Priva, Power BI, and Excel, and maintaining tight inventory accuracy.

You will collaborate with multiple departments, train new staff, and drive process improvements in a fast-paced warehouse environment. This full-time, permanent position requires strong data entry, communication skills, and a valid driver's license.

Qualifications

• Experience with computers and MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Strong attention to detail for accurate data entry and records.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Valid driver’s license is required.
• Spanish language is a nice-to-have asset.

Responsibilities

• Verify and close all production orders in Business Central.
• Create and update reports using Priva, Power BI, and Excel to identify process effectiveness.
• Check produce inventory daily to ensure internal inventory accuracy.
• Communicate with other departments to investigate and fix discrepancies to balance consumption.
• Maintain communication with Gatekeepers and production team members to ensure processes are followed and take corrective actions.
• Assist in training new employees in relation to Business Central for Production.
• Collaborate with Inventory Control Clerk to ensure dry goods are consumed correctly and improve accuracy.
• Identify areas for improvement, develop a plan, and report to the Dry Goods & Inventory Supervisor.
• Cover duties for Inventory Lead as needed.
• Comply with Health and Safety, Food Safety, Bio Security, and Nature Fresh Policies and Procedures.

We are currently looking to fill a full-time, permanent position for a Gatekeeper Lead at our Leamington ON facility.

What You'll Do:

What You Bring:

• Experience with computers, proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel and Outlook preferred.
• Strong understanding of all pack specifications required.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail for accurate data entry and record-keeping.
• Previous experience as a Gatekeeper is an asset.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with a diverse team of individuals from various backgrounds and cultures.
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment, under pressure, or with tight constantly changing deadlines.
• Spanish is an asset.
• Valid drivers license is required.

What To Expect:

• Fast paced warehouse environment where temperatures can be very hot, humid, moist or cold for most of the year.
• Balance periods of sitting, standing, and walking throughout the warehouse.
• Collaborate effectively with a diverse team of individuals from various backgrounds and cultures.
• Standard workdays are Monday-Saturday, with additional hours, including evenings, weekends, or holidays, depending on production schedules.
• Ability to lift and carry items typically ranging from 10–50 kg (22–110 lbs), depending on role requirements.
• Ability to stand or walk for extended periods.
• Frequent bending, stooping, kneeling, or crouching to perform tasks.
• Must be able to complete all physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation.
