Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Guard - Gatehouse Operations in a warehouse facility environment in Inglewood, Ontario. The role focuses on access control, visitor screening, and patrols to ensure site safety across indoor and outdoor areas.

Ideal candidates have an Ontario G Driver's Licence, Ontario Security License, and experience with mobile patrols and surveillance systems. The position offers $18.15/hour, day shifts, and opportunities for training and advancement.

Qualifications

• Valid Ontario G Driver's Licence (mandatory).
• Must hold Ontario Security License.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High school diploma or equivalent/GED, or equivalent work experience.
• Must be able to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• First Aid and CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Greet and screen visitors and employees entering or exiting the facility with proper security protocols.
• Conduct long walk patrols of indoor and outdoor areas, monitoring entrances, parking lots, and perimeter fences.
• Monitor and operate video surveillance (VVM) systems to detect and report suspicious activity.
• Provide excellent customer service to staff, visitors, and vendors; address inquiries professionally.
• Perform mobile patrols as required to ensure site safety and security.
• Document and report security incidents and safety hazards promptly for review.
• Serve as first point of contact for emergencies and follow established protocols.
• Collaborate with warehouse team and management to maintain a secure operation.
• Maintain records of inspections, incident reports, and access control logs.
