Job summary

Aecon Construction Solutions Inc. (ACSI) is seeking a Gasfitter – Class A for our industrial team in Jansen, SK.

You will install, repair, and maintain gas meters, regulators, lines and appliances, while mentoring apprentices and ensuring safety in a fast-paced environment. Candidate must hold Provincial Journeyperson Certification or be in an apprenticeship; CSTS-20, Fall Protection and MEWP certificates are required; English fluency is essential.

Qualifications

• Journeyperson certification or apprenticeship in progress is required.
• Valid CSTS-20, Fall Protection and MEWP certificates are required.
• Industrial gasfitter experience preferred; strong safety knowledge.
• English fluency (written and spoken) is mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Install, repair and maintain gas meters, regulators, gas lines and gas appliances.
• Test and replace defective equipment.
• Measure, cut, thread and assemble pipe using pipe cutters, threading machines and vices.
• Attend gas-escape calls and assist in gas-fire investigations.
• Prepare work reports.
• Read and interpret drawings and blueprints.
• Journeyperson mentors apprentices.
• Other duties as assigned.

ACSI is seeking experienced Gasfitter – Class A to join our industrial team to support project requirements.

• Installing, repairing and maintaining gas meters, regulators, gas lines and gas appliances.
• Testing and replacing defective equipment.
• Measure, cut, thread and assemble pipe using tools such as pipe cutters, pipe threading machines and pipe vices.
• Attending to gas-escape calls and assisting in the investigation of gas fires and explosions.
• Preparing work reports.
• Reading and interpreting drawings and blueprints.
• Journeyperson will mentor apprentices.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements And Experience

• Valid Provincial Journeyperson Certification or indentured into a provincial apprenticeship program
• CSTS-20 Certificate
• Fall Protection Certificate
• Mobile Elevated Work Platform Certificate
• Class A Certification
• Experience as a Gasfitter in an industrial construction environment.
• Proven ability to work independently and as a part of a team in a fast-paced setting.
• Ability to lift and work with materials weighing up to 25kg.
• Ability to work in all weather conditions and environments.
• Must have a strong understanding of industrial safety procedures and policies.
• Must be fluent in English, both written and verbal.

Project: BHP Wet Mill

Location: Jansen, SK

Rate: $51.00 per hour

Overtime: After 8 hours/ day or 40 hours/ week

Schedule: 14x7 (days/nights), 11 hours per shift

Camp: Yes

Allowances: Transportation allowance ranging from $02,000km provided based on approved proof of residency documented submitted
