Job summary

Canadian Natural is seeking a Marketing Gas Scheduler to manage daily gas supply and demand balance, optimize domestic gas transportation, and maximize profitability within policy. Calgary, Alberta based with a strong focus on reliability and collaboration across Marketing, Operations, and Production teams.

The role requires a degree in Business or Engineering and at least five years of gas control/transportation experience, plus proficiency with spreadsheets and cost evaluations.

Qualifications

• Degree in Business or Engineering with minimum five years of gas control and transportation experience.
• Proficiency in spreadsheet applications is required; word processing proficiency is beneficial.
• Ability to perform economic evaluations of pipeline proposals is required.
• Strong communication, organizational and team skills with good work ethics.

Responsibilities

• Prepare daily supply and demand balance and forecasts for planning around supply, markets and pipeline disruptions.
• Make nominations on pipelines for sales and transport contracts and maintain accounts within pipeline tolerances.
• Liaise with Marketing, Operations, Production Field Staff and Marketing/Production Accounting.
• Provide backup to other Gas Operations Coordinators for NGTL, Alliance, Westcoast, Atco, TransGas, TCPL Mainline and others.
• Collaborate with other schedulers for on-call support and contingency planning for off-hours and market conditions.
• Input and verify volumes in the deal capture system for budgeting purposes and Marketing Accounting.
