Job description

Our client, a major oil and gas company, is looking for an experienced Gas Plant Operator for their facility near Rocky Mountain House. A minimum of 5 years' experience working with gas plant refrigeration processes is required. The successful candidate will be local to the Rocky Mountain House area as no camp will be provided.

Responsibilities

Duties include the following, but are not limited to:

• Manage and maintain day-to-day operation of oil wells, single well batteries, centralized processing facilities, solution gas gathering and compression
• Ensure compliance with production accounting utilizing PVR
• Contribute to successful daily execution of the business plan (production volume targets, health, safety, environment, OPEX, reliability) by identifying opportunities to maximize production, minimize operating costs, and eliminate downtime
• Provide equipment maintenance and troubleshooting
• Perform housekeeping, performance monitoring, and maintenance activities
• Provide training and mentoring for team members to assist in completing production tasks that require additional skills or problem solving

Qualifications

• Gas plant/refrigeration experience
• Minimum 5+ years of oil and gas operating experience
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Excellent communication skills, positive attitude, and ability to work effectively in a team
• Self-motivated with a strong work ethic and ability to work independently
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Proficient in MS Office Suite
• Valid Class 5 Driver’s License with a clean driving abstract
