Job summary

ATCO Pipelines is seeking Engineers and Engineers-in-Training to join the Natural Gas Planning team in Edmonton, AB. You will contribute to the planning, operation, and optimization of gas systems to ensure safe, reliable delivery to communities and industrial customers.

Role involves hydraulic modelling, facility planning, outage coordination, and collaboration with multiple internal teams and external regulators. Strong technical and communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Civil, Mechanical or Chemical Engineering or related field.
  • Registered or eligible for P.Eng./EIT with APEGA or Canadian body.
  • Minimum 3 years of engineering experience in natural gas/pipeline/utility sectors.

Responsibilities

  • Perform hydraulic analyses and assessments to evaluate system performance and support capital projects.
  • Develop and maintain hydraulic models for gas systems.
  • Support planning, coordination, and execution of capital projects and outages.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Operations, Gas Control, and Regulatory.
