Job summary

Inter Pipeline seeks an Analyst, Trading to join the Crude Marketing team in Calgary. You will support asset optimization, maintain models and data accuracy, and communicate marketing plans to drive commercial outcomes.

The role requires 2–4 years in midstream or energy markets, strong analytical skills, and proficiency in Excel with data management experience. Collaboration with operations, finance, and logistics is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Engineering, or a related field.
• 2–4 years of work experience in midstream or energy markets.
• Exposure to crude oil marketing, scheduling, or stream quality management is an asset.
• Strong analytical and quantitative skills with high attention to detail.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and data management tools; modeling experience is an asset.
• Cross-functional collaboration and clear communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and improve models and data quality metrics.
• Analyze market trends, pricing, and qualities to identify optimization opportunities.
• Assist in scheduling crude, condensate, and other products into pipelines and facilities.
• Monitor asset performance and align supply, logistics, and marketing.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to resolve scheduling and quality issues.
• Support monthly accrual and invoicing processes through data validation.
