Qualifications

• Grade 12 education is required.
• Valid BC Class 5 driver’s license is required.
• BC Gas Fitter GBEE license and apprenticeship completion or equivalent training.
• Electrical endorsement for GBEE ticket holders.
• Experience in electronics, appliance repairs and troubleshooting.
• Able to work with minimal supervision and handle safety regulations.

Responsibilities

• Repair and adjust residential and commercial gas equipment on customer premises.
• Read meters, inspect safety, and assist with regulation equipment installation.
• Perform stand-by duties and respond to emergencies on the distribution system.
• Provide training and direction to subordinate technicians.
• Travel within PNG systems may be required.
