Job summary

South Country Co-op in Brooks, AB is seeking a customer-focused Gas Bar Attendant for the Brooks Gas Bar. You will assist customers, operate registers, stock, and maintain clean facilities, including propane handling.

Requires ability to lift, weather adaptability, and propane certification. Full availability including days, evenings, and weekends. Pre-employment substance testing may apply.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 16 years old.
• Physically able to stand for extended periods and lift 20–30 lbs (up to 50 lbs occasionally).
• Ability to obtain certification for safe handling and filling of propane tanks.
• Able to work in various weather conditions.
• Basic computer, calculator, and POS skills.

Responsibilities

• Greet and assist customers at pumps, car wash, and propane station.

• Stock inventory, organize merchandise, and maintain displays.

Position Summary

South Country Co-op is seeking a motivated and customer-focused Gas Bar Attendant to join our team at the Brooks Gas Bar in Brooks, AB. If you’re passionate about providing exceptional customer experiences, we’d love to hear from you!

Key Responsibilities

• Greet and assist customers at the pumps, car wash, and propane station
• Operate computerized cash registers and process payments accurately
• Stock inventory, organize merchandise, and maintain product displays
• Perform safe handling and filling of propane tanks in accordance with safety standards
• Maintain cleanliness of the Gas Bar, fuel pumps, car wash, and propane station
• Ensure the gas bar is clean, safe, and organized both inside and outside
• Follow safety guidelines and uphold company policies
• Deliver excellent customer service by assisting customers, promoting merchandise, and ensure customer needs, preferences, and expectations are met
• Educate customers on the benefits of membership in South Country Co-op
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Minimum 16 years of age
• Physically able to stand for extended periods and lift 20-30 lbs (up to 50 lbs occasionally)
• Ability to successfully obtain certification in the safe handling and filling of propane tanks
• Able to work in various weather conditions
• Basic computer, calculator, and POS skills

Work Schedule

This position requires full availability, including days, evenings, and weekends.
