Job summary

Larian Studios in Quebec is seeking a Game Engine QA to join the team and help craft high-calibre games. You will perform manual testing, assist programmers, and write automated tests using Python, Pytest, and Lua.

The role requires strong English communication and a passion for video games, with opportunities to work on world-class titles like Baldur's Gate 3 and Divinity: Original Sin 2 within an international team.

Qualifications

• Experience in programming and/or scripting.
• Familiarity with game engines.
• Background using Perforce or other version control systems.
• Judgment in estimating bug significance and consequences.
• Rigorous, methodical, and resourceful approach.
• Self-disciplined with strong self-learning skills.
• Good spoken and written English communication.
• Passion for video games and desire to build a long-term QA career.

Responsibilities

• Perform all kinds of manual testing.
• Assist the programming team with testing changes before code is submitted to main branches.
• Write new and maintain existing automated tests (Python/Pytest and Lua).
• Follow priorities set by the QA Lead to ensure team-wide goals are met.
• Test and help improve our production pipelines and tools.
• Act as the first point of contact for the production team on technical issues.
