Job summary

Larian Studios in Canada seeks a Lead Graphics Programmer to guide our Graphics team and help advance our proprietary engine across platforms. You will mentor engineers, drive performance, and collaborate with other leads to deliver high-quality, feature-rich RPG experiences.

The ideal candidate has strong C++ skills, extensive game programming experience, and hands-on experience with DirectX 12 and Vulkan.

Qualifications

Demonstrable lead or management experience.
Extensive experience programming for games.
Excellent C++ skills.
Strong mentor and coaching ability.
Experience with graphics APIs such as DirectX 12 and Vulkan.
Experience with a wide range of CPU/GPU profiling tools.
Multithreading should be second nature.
Professional level written and spoken English.

Responsibilities

Lead, mentor and coach our Graphics team.
Assist with recruiting of Graphics Programmers.
Manage code reviews and code features documentation.
Work in tandem with Larian Studios other programming Leads.
Assist in maintaining, porting and extending our proprietary engine on multiple platforms.
Debug and optimize code to hit quality and performance targets.
Show a strong passion for low level coding and performance analysis.
Complete all tasks in a timely manner and to a consistent high quality standard.
Develop well designed software within project schedule to team standards.
Show strong passion for making the highest quality state of the art games.
Safeguard company assets including source code, art work, tools, technical know-how.
