Job summary

Larian Studios in Canada seeks a Lead Graphics Programmer to guide our Graphics team and help advance our proprietary engine across platforms. You will mentor engineers, drive performance, and collaborate with other leads to deliver high-quality, feature-rich RPG experiences.

The ideal candidate has strong C++ skills, extensive game programming experience, and hands-on experience with DirectX 12 and Vulkan.

Qualifications

  • Demonstrable lead or management experience.
  • Extensive experience programming for games.
  • Excellent C++ skills.
  • Strong mentor and coaching ability.
  • Experience with graphics APIs such as DirectX 12 and Vulkan.
  • Experience with a wide range of CPU/GPU profiling tools.
  • Multithreading should be second nature.
  • Professional level written and spoken English.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, mentor and coach our Graphics team.
  • Assist with recruiting of Graphics Programmers.
  • Manage code reviews and code features documentation.
  • Work in tandem with Larian Studios other programming Leads.
  • Assist in maintaining, porting and extending our proprietary engine on multiple platforms.
  • Debug and optimize code to hit quality and performance targets.
  • Show a strong passion for low level coding and performance analysis.
  • Complete all tasks in a timely manner and to a consistent high quality standard.
  • Develop well designed software within project schedule to team standards.
  • Show strong passion for making the highest quality state of the art games.
  • Safeguard company assets including source code, art work, tools, technical know-how.
