about the role:
The Fund Development Coordinator is responsible for supporting the Manager, Fund Development in the implementation of Sherbourne’s fund development strategy to help raise the organization’s profile and improve funding. This includes supporting fundraising events, engaging with and stewarding donors, and tracking and maintaining donor data.
The Fund Development Coordinator will be integral in increasing the capacity of Sherbourne Health’s fundraising efforts as they work with the Manager Fund Development to build new opportunities and develop successful plans to secure donations and sponsorships. They will develop and execute a peer-to-peer and third-party fundraising strategy, coordinate fundraisers, and work on developing new donor and community partnerships. The incumbent will have a background in fundraising and experience in annual appeals, individual giving, grant research and writing, donor communications, and special events.
Scope of the Mandate:
The Fund Development Coordinator role is involved in day-to-day fund development activities both internally and externally. The Fund Development Coordinator ensures clients, donors, partners and employees receive timely and accurate information and support.

The Fund Development Coordinator position requires working in a fast-paced environment meeting the needs of multiple departments. Time management, multi-tasking, initiative, organization, and prioritizing are essential. Work is mainly performed in an office environment, but the candidate may need to work from home occasionally. Work outside of normal working hours may be required.
