What we are looking for:

Reporting to the Director of Engagement and Culture, you will be responsible for supporting the delivery and evaluation of projects and programs that support employee engagement leveraging a combination of technology, creativity, and project management. These include employee orientation, employee recognition events, and coordinating our Education Development program. There will be other ways to for you to grow your OD experience: supporting Engagement surveys, our LMS, and with Leadership Development programs. You are highly organized, able to succeed in a fast-paced environment, and are eager to engage with new challenges. You have strong communication, presentation, and project management skills. You also have excellent interpersonal and customer service skills. You have the ability to successfully work in a team setting or independently.

On a practical level:

  • Support the delivery for corporate orientation for all new staff which may include developing processes, managing registration, preparing materials, and coordinating presenters
  • Oversee the end-to-end implementation of various employee recognition events, such as the Honoured to Care Awards, Long Service Awards, Staff Appreciation BBQs, Ice Cream Day, and Take Our Kids to Work Day.
  • Manage event budgets, solicit vendors, contracts, and ensure cost-effective solutions.
  • Manage the staff education fund by reviewing applications, presenting applications to the education panel, and reporting on usageand processing completed applications.
  • Actively participate in the continuous improvement of OD programs, incorporating feedback and staying abreast of industry trends.
  • Support planning committees which include setting agendas, preparing presentations, facilitating discussions, taking minutes, and following up for deliverables.’
  • Contribute to the development of communication materials and promotional content related to initiatives and events.
  • Support Employee Engagement surveys through the promotion and support for action planning and monitoring based on the results of the surveys
  • Assist the OD team in developing learning programs (in person and on line) to ensure optimal individual, team and organizational performance.
  • Overalladminsupport of ongoing OD initiatives (training and development; maintenance of programming as implemented; performance growth conversations; team/department consultations; etc.) using HRIS and other technology
  • Foster relationships and collaborate with internal and external parties to support the delivery of strategic priorities
  • Apply appropriate customer service and vendor management principles as needed
  • Other duties as required

What you bring to the role:

  • A post-secondary degree/diploma/certificate in business, human resources, and/or adult education
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience working in an Organizational Development/Learning department, or Human Resources; healthcare experiences an asset
  • Minimum 2 years experience in project event coordinator for staff events
  • Demonstrated experience organizing employee events and doing presentations
  • Strong computer/software skills using a wide variety of tools including MS Office, Excel and PowerPoint and HRIS or data bases.
  • Basic understanding of learning theories (adult, behavioral, environmental, scenario) and on-the-job methods
  • Demonstrated strong time management, project management, and organizational skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively within a team environment as well as independently
  • Ability to work with all levels of the organization
  • Occasional evening and weekend work required as well as travel to other Oak Valley Health locations

Work Schedule:

Days 7.5 hours, Monday to Friday, with occasional evening work. You must have flexibility to meet deadlines and meetings as needed. Hybrid model of in the office and remote work.
