Job Description:

On behalf of our client, Affinity is seeking an ERP Functional Analyst to support a two-phase ERP consulting project. The Analyst will conduct gap analysis, gather technical requirements, and perform a market scan of ERP solutions, reporting to the ERP Project Manager. The role is primarily remote, with potential in-person support at the client’s location, collaborating with stakeholders and the client’s internal team to deliver Phase 1 and support Phase 2.

Responsibilities:

Gap Analysis:

• Assess legacy systems (Microsoft Dynamics GP, CentralSquare Diamond) to identify deficiencies and improvement opportunities, producing a comprehensive report.

Requirements Gathering:

• Support stakeholder workshops to collect functional requirements for HR, payroll, procurement, asset management, customer service, and community development.

• Document and prioritize requirements based on strategic value and urgency.

Market Scan:

• Evaluate 5–7 ERP solutions (e.g., SAP, Oracle NetSuite, Workday) for functionality, budget fit, and alignment with client needs, delivering a detailed analysis.

Risk and Deliverables:

• Contribute to the risk matrix, identifying technical and implementation risks.

• Support development of prioritized requirements and Phase 1 findings for leadership team review.

Phase 2 Support:

• Provide technical input for RFP scope and evaluation criteria, assisting the Project Manager and client’s procurement team.

• Contribute to the phased implementation roadmap, focusing on system integration.

Qualifications

Experience:

• 8+ years in ERP functional analysis, with 3+ years in public sector or municipal projects.

• Expertise in Microsoft Dynamics and modern ERP platforms.

• Proven experience in gap analyses, market scans, and requirements gathering.

Education and Certifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in IT, Business, or related field.

• Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP) or equivalent is an asset.

Skills:

• Strong analytical skills for system assessments and vendor evaluations.

• Proficiency in documenting technical requirements.

• Familiarity with virtual collaboration tools (e.g., Zoom, Miro).

• Understanding of public sector ERP needs (e.g., financials, utility billing).
