Placements24 is seeking an experienced Remote Agricultural Policy Advisor to shape policy that supports sustainable farming. You will research trends, analyze impacts, and advise stakeholders from anywhere, including Canada.

This role focuses on climate change, food security, and market access. You will develop policy recommendations, prepare reports and briefs, and monitor policy effectiveness while engaging diverse partners, governments, and NGOs.

Qualifications

• Advanced degree in a relevant field.
• 6+ years of experience in agricultural policy analysis, research, or advisory roles.
• Strong understanding of agricultural markets, production systems, and global challenges.
• Excellent research, writing, and presentation skills for remote contexts.

Responsibilities

• Conduct in-depth research on policies, market trends, and socio-economic factors.
• Analyze potential policy impacts on farmers, consumers, and the environment.
• Develop policy recommendations and advise agencies, associations, and NGOs.
• Prepare reports, policy briefs, and presentations on complex issues.
• Monitor and evaluate existing policies and propose reforms.
• Facilitate discussions and build consensus among stakeholders.
