Job summary

AAA Canada is seeking a Shipbuilder to prepare the ground, support trades, and translate plans from paper to reality in a major shipyard setting. The role is full-time with a per diem of $150/day for distances over 70 km from site, and requires PR or Canadian citizenship.

Responsibilities include assisting trades in painting and insulation, material flow via trucks and forklifts, and strict adherence to OHS standards while contributing to major projects in aeronautics, land transportation, and

Qualifications

Read and interpret plans and work orders.
Must be able to work in a safety-conscious environment.
Ability to collaborate with foremen and trades.

Responsibilities

Support painting, install insulation, pre-cut cabling and perform metal finishing (grinding, manufacturing, cleaning and bevel polishing).
Drive trucks and forklifts to ensure material flow.
Maintain clean and safe areas, manage waste and ensure speed does not slow the shipyard.
Detect deviations, report non-compliance and maintain tools.
Work with the foreman in strict compliance with OHS standards.
