Job summary

GardaWorld in Toronto, Ontario, is seeking a Surveillance Security Guard to monitor CCTV and access points, respond to incidents, and document detailed reports across facilities. The role requires a valid Ontario security license and Canada work authorization. You will conduct patrols, control access, and liaise with law enforcement as needed.

We offer full-time continental 12-hour shifts (8AM–8PM), uniform provided, and access to GardaWorld Academy training for career growth.

Qualifications

• Be authorized to work in Canada.
• Hold a valid Ontario security license.
• WSIB approved First aid certification.
• Strong report writing skills.
• Good eyesight and excellent ability to maintain focus.
• Strong proficiency with technology.
• Ability to stand and walk throughout shift.

Responsibilities

• Monitor security systems to detect any suspicious activity.
• Respond quickly to incidents or potential threats.
• Document observed events and incidents, writing detailed reports.
• Conduct regular foot patrols to ensure the safety of the premises.
• Control access to secure areas and check visitor identification.
• Analyze security systems to identify potential vulnerabilities or malfunctions.
• Work with law enforcement in case of serious situations or emergencies.

What matters most about a role like this is your sharp eye, capturing every detail as you scan a series of screens. Your strong observation skills with attention to detail are your greatest strengths.

As a Surveillance Security Guard, you will be the person spotting threats before they elevate in environments such as security operation centres , call centers, construction sites, parking lots and gatehouses, etc.
