Qualifications

• Must hold a valid provincial Security Guard License.
• Must have First Aid and CPR.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• 1+ years of security experience (preferred).
• Ability to write routine logs and reports.
• Basic computer skills.
• Able to walk, stand, and patrol as required.

Responsibilities

• Observe and report activities and incidents at client sites.
• Conduct periodic patrols to check protection devices and fire equipment.
• Preserve order and enforce site regulations.
• Control access to client sites through the admissions process.
• Patrol sites on foot or by vehicle; check for hazards and security violations.
• Provide excellent customer service while minimizing risk.
• Monitor intrusion detection systems and video monitoring.
• Use computer systems to monitor sites and complete training.

We are seeking Full-Time security guard for the Winnipeg area.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Observes and reports activities and incidents at an assigned client site, providing for the security and safety of client property, assets, and personnel.
• Makes periodic patrols to check for irregularities and to inspect protection devices and fire control equipment.
• Preserves order and may act to enforce regulations and directives for the site pertaining to personnel, visitors, and premises.
• Controls access to client site or facility through the admittance process.
• Patrols assigned site on foot or in vehicle; checks for unsafe conditions, hazards, unlocked doors, security violations, blocked entrances and exits, mechanical problems, and unauthorized persons.
• Satisfies client needs by providing excellent customer service while minimizing risk to the client property and assets.
• Monitors intrusion detection systems using automated alarm and video monitoring software.
• Uses computer systems and software to monitor sites and complete basic trainings.
• Protects evidence or scene of incident in the event of accidents, emergencies, or security investigations.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Must have valid provincial Security Guard License
• Must have First Aid and CPR
• Must have excellent customer service and communication skills
• 1 or more years of security experience (preferred)
• Working knowledge of security operations and procedures
• Excellent organizational skills
• Able to write routine correspondence, including logs and reports
• Basic computer skills such as the ability to use Microsoft Office.
• Able to walk, stand, and conduct patrols
