Job summary

Securitas Canada Limited is seeking Part-Time Security Guards for Steinbach, MB. The role involves observing and reporting activities, patrolling sites, and controlling access to client facilities. Training for license procurement is offered if needed.

Qualifications

• Valid provincial Security Guard License (Preferred).
• Working knowledge of security operations and procedures.
• Reliable means of transportation.
• Excellent organizational skills.
• Able to write routine logs and reports.
• Basic computer skills including Microsoft Office.
• Able to walk, stand, and conduct patrols.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• First Aid/ CPR is considered an asset.

Responsibilities

• Observes and reports activities and incidents at an assigned client site, ensuring security of property and personnel.
• Makes periodic patrols to check for irregularities and inspect protection devices and fire control equipment.
• Preserves order and may enforce site regulations for personnel, visitors, and premises.
• Controls access to the client site through the admittance process.
• Patrols the site on foot or in vehicle; checks for hazards, unlocks, violations, and unauthorized persons.
• Provides excellent customer service while minimizing risk to client property.
• Monitors intrusion detection systems using alarm and video monitoring software.
• Uses computer systems to monitor sites and complete basic trainings.
• Protects evidence or scene of incidents during accidents or investigations.

SECURITY GUARD - PART-TIME POSITION

Location: Steinbach, MB

We are seeking Part-Time Security Guards for Steinbach, MB area.

If you don’t currently hold a valid security guard license or certificate, we will pay for your training and guide you through every step of the process of obtaining your full security license.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Uses computer systems and software to monitor sites and complete basic trainings.
• Protects evidence or scene of incident in the event of accidents, emergencies, or security investigations.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Valid provincial Security Guard License (Preferred)
• Working knowledge of security operations and procedures
• Reliable means of transportation
• Excellent organizational skills
• Able to write routine correspondence, including logs and reports
• Basic computer skills such as the ability to use Microsoft Office.
• Able to walk, stand, and conduct patrols
• Must have excellent customer service and communication skills
• First Aid/ CPR is considered an asset
